Night service on the San Francisco Municipal Railway between Embarcadero and West Portal stations will reopen Saturday night in time for Super Bowl festivities, according to the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency.
Service will run each day from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m. the following day.
The resumption of night service is in time for Super Bowl 50 events starting Saturday and lasting until Feb. 12, which includes time for set up and removal of equipment.
Night service has been shut down after 9:30 p.m. since July to allow crews to replace radio systems and emergency blue light telephones.
Bus shuttle service between St. Francis Circle and Folsom Street will be suspended, Muni officials said.
The remaining work will be done in the early morning hours from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m., Muni officials said.
