Especially since she explained she “doesn’t want to grow old there”. I believe in standing up for your rights, but these legal matters can be awfully draining and provoke stress. There is no hell like a legal hell.

I did appreciate the Crow comments about “harassment”. Making life difficult for folks is what I experience from my landlord when doing repairs. Scheduling punishment is what I experienced when LL refused to schedule a contractor on a saturday. When I met with the contractor, he said he does saturday appointments all the time and agreed to do mine then. That despite LL claiming only a Tuesday (when I had to work) would do. Be nice, landlords, please.
