Once they were all gone, all that’s left is a thin, boring paper with no investigative unit, too much worship of City Hall and Willie Brown, and nothing interesting. Why pay for the scraps when the cow’s already been gored?

The SFChronicle website is well designed and nice to read. If you turn off AdBlock, the SFGate website is a terrible mess.

I really enjoy reading a website that’s uncluttered. I also would rather live in a world where people pay for things they like with dollars and not attention span. Finally, there’s some hope that since people are paying for the content, it will drive to create better content, as we’ve seen at other newspapers.
