Thank you to the Chronicle for inventing this paywall, which led me to discover SF Appeal!

I signed up for the new and improved (?) Chronicle to try it out the minute I saw it announced (Saturday), but they still have not “processed” the subscription, saying it takes 3-5 business days. O_o

I grew up with the Chron and have watched it decline in quality over the years, only sticking with them for lack of a decent alternative. My husband and I are willing to try this new thing out (once they actually process it), but if it doesn’t work out, I feel better knowing there is another news source out there. 🙂

PS I’ve always thought that they should make you pay to comment.
