Supporters of marriage equality are holding a rally on the steps of San Francisco City Hall on Tuesday, the day the U.S. Supreme Court is set to hear oral arguments in four cases on the issue.
The #UniteForMarriage rally will start at 5 p.m. outside City Hall, with a smaller earlier event planned for 7 a.m. at Harvey Milk Plaza in the city’s Castro District.
Organizers said similar rallies will also be happening across the country.
Confirmed speakers at the San Francisco event include former state Assemblyman Tom Ammiano and San Francisco supervisors Scott Wiener, David Campos and Jane Kim, according to organizers.
