10:43 AM: Caltrain is back on schedule today after a broken train caused delays of up to an hour during the morning commute, a transit spokeswoman said.
The delays began at about 7:40 a.m. when a northbound train on its way to San Francisco broke down between Burlingame and Millbrae, Caltrain spokeswoman Christine Dunn said.
The disabled train, which had about 720 passengers on board, was back in service about 15 minutes later.
A second northbound train was delayed due to brake problems, and the two delays caused some trains to be an hour behind schedule, according to Caltrain.
By about 10 a.m., the issues had been resolved and trains were running on time throughout the system, Dunn said.
8:03 AM: Caltrain is running behind schedule this morning after a northbound train broke down between Burlingame and Millbrae, a spokeswoman said.
Train No. 313 experienced mechanical difficulties on its way to San Francisco at about 7:40 a.m., according to Caltrain spokeswoman Christine Dunn.
There were approximately 720 passengers on board, according to Dunn.
The train was repaired by about 7:45 a.m., and northbound trains were running about 20 minutes late as a result of the delay.
