6:40 AM: Caltrain is running limited service after a train in San Bruno fatally struck a pedestrian this morning, according to a Caltrain spokeswoman.
All southbound passengers out of San Francisco are advised to travel on BART as far as the Millbrae station and then transfer to Caltrain for the remainder of their commute, according to Caltrain spokeswoman Christine Dunn.
Dunn said at about 5:20 a.m a train fatally struck a pedestrian.
According to Dunn, the incident occurred on the railroad tracks between South Linden Avenue and Scott Street in San Bruno, about a mile north of the San Bruno Caltrain station.
The incident remains under investigation.
6:17 AM: Caltrain services are disrupted system wide after a pedestrian was struck by a train in San Bruno this morning, according to Caltrain officials and San Bruno police.
Caltrain is advising all southbound passengers out of San Francisco to travel on BART as far as the Millbrae station and then transfer to Caltrain for the remainder of their commute.
San Bruno police said a pedestrian was struck at about 5:15 a.m. on the railroad tracks between South Linden Avenue and Scott Street.
