
A man fired a gun at another man when he thought he was going to be assaulted in San Francisco’s Russian Hill neighborhood Thursday morning, police said.
The 58-year-old man was walking around 5:50 a.m. near Larkin and Greenwich streets when a 51-year-old man approached him, police said.
The first man, who had a revolver on him, thought the other man was going to attack him and fired several shots, police said.
The man was not injured and both men were detained, police said.
