The FBI will be holding a training exercise today at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara in preparation for Super Bowl 50, which is less than three months away.
The exercise, set to start at 1 p.m., will include multiple law enforcement agencies and SWAT, bomb squad, and hazardous materials units, in addition to medical personnel and helicopter crews.
More than 100 people are expected to participate in the planned exercise at the stadium located at 4900 Marie P. DeBartolo Way, FBI officials said.
The FBI initially planned to open the exercise to the media but later said it would be closed out of concern for public safety and security.
