Police have detained a person reported on the BART tracks this morning at both the Montgomery Street and Powell Street stations in San Francisco, a BART spokesman said.
Separate incidents were reported at the two stations, but police determined it was the same person, BART spokesman Taylor Huckaby said.
The incidents were reported at about 8:10 a.m. and caused 10- to 15-minute delays in the San Francisco International Airport and Millbrae directions, BART officials said.
Police determined the person is mentally ill and detained the person peacefully, Huckaby said.
BART trains are still recovering from the delays this morning, he said.
