Power has been restored for all but about 150 homes and businesses in San Francisco’s Mid-Market area after a digging project knocked out power for 2,200 customers this morning, a PG&E spokesman said.
The outage was reported at 10:01 a.m. and mainly affected the area around Mission Street between Van Ness Avenue and Eighth Street, PG&E spokesman Jason King said.
PG&E crews determined the outage was caused by contractors digging on Fell Street between Market Street and Van Ness Avenue, King said.
Power was restored to all but 150 customers by shortly before noon and the remaining customers are expected to have power restored by 2 p.m., according to King.
