San Francisco fire officials and PG&E say they have received multiple calls reporting a smell of gas in the city’s western neighborhoods this afternoon, but have not pinpointed the source.
The calls reporting a gas odor in the Sunset and Richmond District began coming in just after 5 p.m., PG&E spokesman Nick Smith said.
There are no signs of broken lines in the area so far but Smith said crews are out now attempting to locate the source of the smell.
