A gas line that leaked after being struck by a vehicle in San Francisco’s Outer Richmond neighborhood this afternoon has been secured, according to fire department officials.
San Francisco fire spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge said PG&E crews have secured a gas line at a residence on Cabrillo Street between 41st and 42nd avenues that was struck by a vehicle at 12:11 p.m.
After the driver of the vehicle struck the building and gas line, emergency crews responded to the scene and evacuated the building, fire officials said.
One person suffered minor injuries in the crash. Talmadge said that person was transported via ambulance to a hospital.
According to Talmadge, PG&E crews had secured the gas line as of 1:17 p.m. and were continuing to make repairs at the scene this afternoon.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, she said.
