A Marina District bank was robbed Monday morning by a woman who threatened to shoot the teller, according to San Francisco police.
The suspect, a woman who appeared to be in her 30s, walked into the bank in the 2000 block of Chestnut Street around 10 a.m. and asked the teller to give her coins in return for paper money, police said.
When the teller attempted to give the suspect the change, however, she demanded all the money from the drawer and threatened to shoot the teller, police said. No weapon was displayed.
The teller handed her all the money from the drawer and the suspect fled on foot. She remains at large as of this morning.
