A man believed to be involved in several recent bank robberies and attempted bank robberies in San Francisco has been arrested, police said Friday.
Police said Daniel King, 39, of San Francisco, was arrested Tuesday on eight counts of suspicion of bank robbery and three of attempted bank robbery.
Police responded Tuesday at 4:45 p.m. to the 1800 block of Irving Street in reference to a just occurred bank robbery.
Police said the teller told investigators the robber handed her a note demanding money and fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.
Police said the suspect’s description matched the suspect description from several other recent robberies.
Police were able to obtain a still photo of the suspect’s vehicle from the bank’s video surveillance system and later located the vehicle in the area of Geary Street.
Police said officers took the suspect, later identified as King, into custody without incident and were able to connect him to at least seven other bank robberies and three attempted robberies in the city.
