A man in a vehicle was shot and injured by occupants of another vehicle in San Francisco’s Bayview District early Saturday morning, according to police.
Police said the 31-year-old victim and a woman in her 20s were in a vehicle near the intersection of Palou Avenue and Ingalls Street shortly before 1:15 a.m. Saturday when the shooting occurred.
The pair stopped their vehicle at the intersection and as they started to turn, a white two-door vehicle pulled up behind them, police said.
The occupants of that vehicle fired a handgun several times into the victims’ vehicle, injuring the man, according to police.
The woman drove the victim to San Francisco General Hospital, where he was treated for injuries not considered life-threatening, police said.
Police have not arrested anyone in the case and a possible motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
