Man Seriously Injured in Nob Hill Attack

A man walking home in San Francisco’s Nob Hill neighborhood suffered serious injuries when two male suspects assaulted him Tuesday night, police said.

The victim, a man in his 50s, was walking home on Larkin Street near Washington Street at about 10:30 p.m. when two male suspects walked past him, according to police.

When the victim arrived at his residence, the two suspects struck him in the back of the head several times, police said.

Officers said the victim was not robbed and that the suspects fled the area after the assault.

The victim suffered facial fractures and internal bleeding to the head. He was transported to San Francisco General Hospital and is expected to survive his injuries, police said.

No suspects have been arrested and a motive for the attack remains under investigation, police said.
