Police arrested two of five suspects who allegedly assaulted and robbed two men early this morning near San Francisco’s Union Square.
According to police, five male suspects, described as being in their late teens to early 20s, robbed two victims around 1 a.m. near the intersection of Market and Powell streets.
The group of suspects approached the victims, an 18-year-old man and a 22-year-old man, and then attacked them. The suspects stole the victims’ property before fleeing the area, police said.
The suspect stole both victims’ wallets, cellphones, cash, laptops, and backpacks. One suspect also had a tablet device stolen.
Both victims suffered bloody noses and one suffered bruises. Both were transported to the hospital and treated for injuries that are not considered life-threatening, police said.
Police said they later arrested two suspects in connection with the robbery.
