San Francisco police arrested a suspect today in an assault on a homeless person that was captured on video earlier this month.
The assault, which occurred on Nov. 11 around 4:43 a.m. near Third and Bryant streets, was caught on video and aired on KTVU, according to police.
The footage showed a man repeatedly kicking and stomping on a homeless person who had been lying on the sidewalk.
Police launched an investigation and were able to identify the victim and a possible suspect, who lived in Oakland.
Timothy Chase, 28, was arrested this morning on suspicion of seven counts of aggravated assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury, police said.
