Those looking to make over their closets for the new year are being asked to donate their used fur apparel to help orphaned and injured animals.
New and recycled clothing retailer Buffalo Exchange is accepting trims, accessories and full coats with fur as part of its Coats for Cubs drive.
The clothes will be sent to rehabilitation organizations across the country to provide bedding and other items of comfort for wildlife, company officials said.
The retailer has donated more than 8,000 used furs through the Coats for Cubs program since 2006, according to the company.
Buffalo Exchange has Bay Area locations in San Francisco and Berkeley.
The drive started on Monday and continues through Earth Day on April 22.
