A bicyclist was hospitalized after he flipped over his bike’s handlebars at San Francisco Municipal Railway tracks near the Balboa Park station late Wednesday night, police said.
The crash was reported at 11:38 p.m. at Ocean and San Jose avenues, where the 33-year-old bicyclist was traveling downhill at a high rate of speed, according to police.
When he approached the Muni tracks, he flipped over the bike’s handlebars and fell to the ground, losing consciousness and suffering abrasions to his face and body, police said. He was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.
No other information about the crash was immediately available.
