An armed suspect robbed a bank at the Laurel Village Shopping Center in San Francisco’s Laurel Heights neighborhood on Saturday evening, police said.
The suspect, described as a man in his 50s, entered the bank in the 3400 block of California Street near Locust Street at about 5:40 p.m. on Saturday, police said.
The suspect walked up to a bank teller and handed him a note demanding cash.
Police said the bank teller handed the suspect all of the money from inside the drawer.
The suspect then fled on foot with the cash before police arrived.
Police have not identified the suspect, but said the man was believed to have been armed with a handgun.
