8:31 AM: Crews are making repairs to a water line that burst in San Francisco’s Lower Haight neighborhood this morning, fire officials said.
The rupture was reported in the 700 block of Waller Street at 5:05 a.m., according to the fire department.
Once the flow of water was stopped, the fire department left the scene and San Francisco Public Utilities Commission crews started repair work, fire officials said.
The 6-inch main is 100 years old, according to the SFPUC. One block remains without water service this morning but there was no property damage to the surrounding neighborhood.
5:49 AM: Crews are working to repair a broken water line in San Francisco’s Lower Haight neighborhood this morning, a fire dispatcher said.
The broken water line was reported in the 700 block of Waller Street, which is near Scott Street, at around 5:05 a.m., the fire dispatcher said.
