Two men suspected of assaulting two other men before the start of the San Francisco 49ers game against the Kansas City Chiefs at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara this afternoon were arrested, a police lieutenant said.
The assaults happened prior to the game’s kick off at 1:25 p.m. in a bathroom in the 300 level on the north side of the stadium, Santa Clara police Lt. Kurt Clarke said.
The two victims were transported to a hospital for treatment but Clarke did not disclose the extent of their injuries tonight.
The two suspects were quickly arrested minutes after the alleged assaults and booked into county jail, Clarke said.
The suspects’ identities were not released tonight, he said.
Investigators are looking into what led to the assaults, Clarke said.
