A 21-year-old man was robbed after five boys threw water balloons at his car as he drove through San Francisco’s Visitacion Valley Tuesday afternoon.
The incident was reported at 5:15 p.m. near Sunnydale Avenue and Hahn Street, San Francisco police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said.
The man was driving through the area when five boys, believed to be between the ages of 12 and 16, started throwing water balloons at him and his car, police said.
The man got out of his car and he was struck by a plastic water bottle. Esparza did not know if the bottle was empty or full.
The five boys stole money from the victim, who was taken to the California Pacific Medical Center’s St. Luke’s campus in Bernal Heights for a complaint of pain, police said.
The boys ran away with the cash and were not caught as of this morning, Esparza said.
