A bicyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a car in San Francisco’s Western Addition neighborhood on Wednesday evening, according to police.
The collision was reported at 6:44 p.m. at Divisadero Street and Golden Gate Avenue.
The vehicle was making a right turn on a green light when the 31-year-old male bicyclist tried to overtake the car on the right and struck the car’s mirror. The cyclist fell to the ground and hit his head on the concrete, police said.
He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for head trauma that is considered life-threatening, according to police.
The car’s driver was not arrested in connection with the collision, police said.
