Two teens were struck by gunfire outside a McDonald’s restaurant in San Francisco’s Western Addition neighborhood on Thursday night, police said.
The 17- and 18-year-old male victims were in the 1100 block of Fillmore Street near Golden Gate Avenue, shortly before 8:30 p.m. when shots were fired, according to officers.
Police said the 18-year-old victim heard gunshots, saw he had been shot in his side and took off running.
The 17-year-old victim told police that he was standing in a parking lot near the intersection when he was shot in the hand.
Both teens were treated at San Francisco General Hospital for injuries not considered life-threatening, police said.
No suspects have been arrested and the motive for the shooting remains under investigation, according to police.
