A man shot at another man during a robbery Tuesday evening in San Francisco’s Western Addition neighborhood, police said.
Shortly after 7 p.m. Tuesday, a man in his 20s was drinking with a man in his 50s near the intersection of Eddy and Pierce streets when the pair began to argue, according to police.
The younger man then punched the older man in the mouth and took his backpack. As the older man was walking away, the suspect followed after him and fired a semi-automatic gun, police said.
Police said the victim was not struck by the gunfire and suffered only a bloody mouth, for which he refused medical treatment.
The victim reported that inside his stolen backpack were his wallet, identification and medication.
Police said they had not made an arrest in the case as of this morning.
