Police are investigating two armed robberies at businesses in San Francisco on Wednesday.
The first robbery occurred shortly before 7 p.m. in the Mission District. The suspect, described as a man in his 20s or 30s, entered a business in the 3100 block of 24th Street, near Folsom Street, according to police.
He pointed a handgun at a 45-year-old man inside the business and fled with the victim’s laptop computer, police said.
A second armed robbery occurred at about 8:10 p.m. in the city’s Richmond District. The suspect, described as a man in his early 30s, entered a business in the 6000 block of Geary Boulevard. He apparently grabbed an item from the store and went to the register, police said.
When the sales clerk, described as a 52-year-old man, opened the cash register, the suspect brandished a handgun and reached his hand into the cash register, then fled from the store with the money.
No injuries were reported in either armed robbery and police have not yet made any arrests.
