Woman Gagged With Towel In Home Invasion Attack

San Francisco police are investigating a home invasion robbery in which a woman was gagged with a towel and had her house ransacked in the city’s Silver Terrace neighborhood on Monday afternoon.

The robbery was reported at about 12:35 p.m. Monday in the 2000 block of Revere Avenue, where the 59-year-old victim said she had gone outside to retrieve a trash can, police said.

As she walked out of the home, two suspects rushed toward her and pushed her back inside. One then grabbed a towel and gagged the victim with it while the other suspect went through drawers in the home’s upstairs bedrooms, according to police.

The suspect holding the victim then let go and joined his accomplice. The victim called 911, but the suspects ran out of the home before officers arrived, police said.

No arrests had been made in the case as of this afternoon, according to police.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with “SFPD” in the message.
