Two separate bank robberies were reported in different parts of San Francisco on Monday afternoon and evening, according to police.
The first robbery was reported around 3:20 p.m. at a bank in the 1000 block of Stockton Street in the city’s Chinatown neighborhood.
The suspect, described as a man between 25 and 35 years old, entered the bank and handed a note to a teller demanding money, police said.
The teller complied and handed over cash to the suspect, who fled south on Stockton Street, according to police.
Then at 5:53 p.m., another bank robbery was reported on Buckingham Way in the Stonestown Galleria mall complex, police said.
The suspect in the second robbery also handed a note to a teller demanding money and then left with cash in a satchel, fleeing west on Buckingham Way, according to police.
No one was injured in either robbery. Police did not immediately say whether they consider the two cases to be related.
