A man was stabbed Thursday afternoon during an attempted robbery in San Francisco’s Portola neighborhood.
At 2:11 p.m., police responded to a stabbing near the corner of Mansell and Dartmouth streets, according to police.
Once there, police learned an unknown male suspect approached the victim from behind and demanded that the victim hand over his property, police said.
The victim told the suspect he didn’t have anything to hand over. The suspect then stabbed the victim and fled the scene on foot, police said.
The victim suffered a stab wound to the arm and was taken to a hospital, according to police.
The suspect was last seen heading south on Mansell Street.
