A man wielding a box cutter stabbed another man early Wednesday morning in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood, police said.
The stabbing occurred at about 6:45 a.m. on Mission Street between Eighth and Ninth streets.
The male suspect and victim, both in their 20s, were allegedly engaged in an argument that turned physical when the suspect stabbed the victim with a box cutter, police said.
Officers said the victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries not considered life threatening.
The suspect has not been arrested and the motive for the fight and subsequent stabbing remains under investigation, police said.
