A woman who was stabbed in the stomach in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood Sunday night was recovering in the hospital this afternoon, a police officer said.
The 50-year-old woman was stabbed by a male suspect near the corner of Golden Gate and Jones streets at about 10:15 p.m. Sunday, police said.
She was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening stab wounds to her stomach requiring surgery, police said.
Police Officer Grace Gatpandan said the woman is doing well today and is expected to survive. She is continuing to recover in the hospital and investigators will interview her once she’s feeling better, Gatpandan said.
