A man who allegedly stabbed a woman in an apartment in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood Thursday evening was later arrested in the community room of the same apartment building, police said today.
Police arrested Ronald Anderson, 64, in the community room of the building in the first block of Sixth Street, police spokeswoman Officer Grace Gatpandan said.
He was booked into jail on suspicion of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and possession of cocaine, Gatpandan said.
Anderson allegedly got into an argument with a 53-year-old woman in an apartment and then stabbed her in the chest, arm and face, police said.
The woman was taken to San Francisco General Hospital. Her injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Anderson fled after the stabbing, but didn’t go far as he was located in the building’s community room later that night, police said.
