A man was shot in the leg early this morning at the Potrero Terrace public housing complex in San Francisco’s Potrero Hill neighborhood, police said.
At about 4:30 a.m., the victim, described as a man in his 40s, was shot at least once while standing in the 900 block of Connecticut Street, police said.
The man told police he was talking to a female acquaintance when he heard a gunshot and then noticed he had been hit in the lower leg.
He was transported to San Francisco General Hospital in stable condition.
Police have not arrested any suspects and no motive for the shooting has been identified.
The Potrero Terrace public housing complex is also the site of two recent homicides.
On June 29, 33-year-old San Francisco resident Prince Johnson was fatally shot within a block of today’s shooting, while 26-year-old Jamar Samuel was shot there on the Fourth of July, police said.
