A 24-year-old man who was shot and killed on Thanksgiving Day at the Potrero Hill public housing complex in San Francisco has been identified, according to the medical examiner’s office.
San Francisco resident Daron Raynaldo was shot at about 3:30 p.m. Thursday in the 700 block of Missouri Street near 22nd Street in the Potrero Hill neighborhood, police said.
Officers said a silver vehicle drove up to a home in that block and then opened fire on Raynaldo and at least one other person standing on a front stoop.
Raynaldo was transported to San Francisco General Hospital, where he died of his injuries.
The suspect vehicle fled the scene prior to police arriving and no suspects have been arrested, police said today.
No other injuries were reported and the motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
