A man struck by a sedan in a hit-and-run Monday in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood has died, according to the San Francisco medical examiner’s office.
The medical examiner’s office identified the man as Joseph Jeffrey, 54, of San Francisco.
San Francisco police spokesman Officer Gordon Shyy said the victim was struck Monday around 1 a.m. in the area of Eddy and Larkin streets.
Jeffrey was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.
Shyy said police are investigating the incident as a felony hit-and-run.
Police are looking for a white four-door sedan, possibly a Nissan, which is believed to have been involved in the crash.
