A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI and other charges Friday afternoon after crashing into two cars and injuring three people on San Francisco’s Van Ness Avenue, a police sergeant said.
Officers responded to a report of a collision at the intersection of Van Ness Avenue and Broadway Street around 12:10 p.m., Sgt. Eric O’Neil said.
A man later identified as 26-year-old Jacob Sahagun was driving south on Van Ness Avenue when he collided with two vehicles driving east on Broadway Street, O’Neil said.
Sahagun was under the influence at the time of the collision, according to the sergeant.
O’Neil said Sahagun and three others involved in the collision were injured, but none of the injuries were considered to be life-threatening.
Sahagun was arrested for alleged felony DUI, driving with a suspended license, having an open container and being in possession of contraband paraphernalia, O’Neil said.
