A man who was shot in the back early Sunday morning in San Francisco’s Bayview District is refusing to cooperate with the police investigation, police said.
Shortly after 12:50 a.m. on Sunday, a man was struck by gunfire on Espanola Street near Beatrice Lane and Ingalls Street, according to police.
The victim, a man in his 40s, heard gunshots in the area and then realized he had been shot in the back, officers said.
The victim drove himself to San Francisco General Hospital and refused to provide additional details to police.
No suspects have been arrested and the motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
Police said the victim’s injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
