A former associate professor at San Francisco State University’s College of Business was arrested late Wednesday night and charged with taking photos of students from San Francisco universities, according the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office and college officials.
Mark Landis, who recently was a professor in the school’s accounting department, had resigned Friday. He had been working at the school since August 2006, according to a school spokeswoman.
Landis was arrested in San Francisco Wednesday night and charged with 15 counts of unauthorized invasion of privacy, according to district attorney’s office spokesman Alex Bastian.
He was allegedly taking photos of current and past students from San Francisco State University and the University of San Francisco, according to Bastian.
He is out on $100,000 bail and scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Landis has a doctorate in accounting from the University of Missouri at Columbia and a master’s degree in accounting from University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He graduated from the University of Nebraska with an undergraduate degree in 1999.
