The southbound lanes of the Great Highway along San Francisco’s Ocean Beach are closed today because of sand in the roadway, a city Department of Public Works spokeswoman said.
The lanes between Sloat and Skyline boulevards were closed just before 11 a.m. for sand removal, DPW spokeswoman Rachel Gordon said.
There was no estimated time of reopening as of 3:30 p.m., she said.
