Fire crews quickly put out a one-alarm fire at the back of a building in San Francisco’s Sunset District this afternoon, a fire spokeswoman said.
The fire was reported at 12:20 p.m. at 21st Avenue and Taraval Street, fire spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge said.
Flames were found on the back of a building and the blaze was called under control at 12:40 p.m., Talmadge said.
An employee at a business near the intersection said the fire broke out at the back of the Hot Pot Garden Chinese restaurant, located at 1055 Taraval St.
The restaurant’s telephone line was ringing busy this afternoon.
