9:04 PM: A man who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and disappeared from his care facility in San Francisco’s Sunset District this morning was safely located in San Jose, San Francisco police said tonight.
Edwin Caldwell, 81, walked away from the facility in the 1600 block of 19th Avenue at about 10:30 a.m. and is considered at-risk, Officer Gordon Shyy said.
He was safely located tonight in San Jose, Shyy said.

Edwin Caldwell (pictured above) walked away from the facility in the 1600 block of 19th Avenue, which is near Lawton, at about 10:30 a.m. and is considered at-risk, Officer Gordon Shyy said.
He sometimes goes to the area of 19th Avenue and Noriega Street, Shyy said.
He was last seen wearing a gray jacket and a black shirt and pants. He might be wearing a San Francisco Giants or Cal Bears baseball cap, Shyy said.
Anyone who sees Caldwell has been asked to call San Francisco police.
