8:20 AM: Thousands of people remain without power in the Bay Area this morning due to weather-related outages, a PG&E spokeswoman said.

As of 8 a.m., 1,560 customers remained without power in the North Bay, as well as 610 in the East Bay, 600 in the South Bay, 110 in San Francisco and about 40 along the Peninsula, PG&E spokeswoman Jana Morris said.

However, those numbers are down from an hour earlier, when 5,200 customers were without power in just the North Bay, Morris said.

No estimate was immediately available for when power would be restored to the remaining customers.
