San Francisco District Attorney George Gascon today is launching his second-annual anti-bullying video contest for youths in the city.
The “Bye Bye Bullying” contest is open to all San Francisco middle and high school students. Participants are asked to create a 60-second video about cyber bullying.
The video can address one of three themes: What is cyberbullying? What are the effects of cyberbullying? What can you do to prevent cyberbullying?
The deadline for submissions is Nov. 8, and winners will be announced at an event in December. Prizes will include a $250 gift certificate from Zendesk and a signed baseball from the San Francisco Giants.
The contest “inspires kids to be thoughtful and creative about addressing cyberbullying and encourages them to be part of the solution,” Gascon said in a statement.
