A bank robber who claimed to be armed with a gun and then made off with cash in San Francisco’s Financial District on Monday morning remains at large, police said today.
The suspect, described as a man in his 40s, entered a bank in the 500 block of Montgomery Street, near Sacramento Street, at about 10:15 a.m. Monday, according to police.
He walked up to a bank teller window and handed a female employee a note stating that he had a gun. The bank teller handed over cash to the suspect, police said.
Officers said the suspect fled the bank and has not yet been arrested.
