A man who tried to defend a woman in a fight in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood early this morning got stabbed in the attempt, police said.
The 35-year-old man heard a woman getting attacked around 4 a.m. inside a business in the 600 block of Broadway, police said.
He tried to intervene but was attacked by five male suspects, including one man believed to be between 25 and 30 years old, according to police.
He was stabbed with a knife and taken to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries notconsidered to be life-threatening, police said.
The five suspects have not been not arrested, according to police.
