Appealing Events: The Silent Comedy at Bottom of the Hill

San Diego brother band the Silent Comedy want you to believe in the power of music. Their rollicking “whiskey tent revival” of a live show is at once unifying and awe-inspiring. 2013’s Friends Divide EP furthered that concept with thoughtful lyrics and tighter instrumentals.

Lead single “God Neon” dissects urbanization and the push and pull of metropolitan life. It’s expansive and the type of song that only goes so far dancing in your bedroom. To get the full Silent Comedy experience, you’ve got to see them live. They’ve been diligently touring and set to hit the city this Thursday, September 18th, along with Fresno’s Strange Vine and hometown heroes Down and Outlaws.
