A man was stabbed during an attempted robbery in San Francisco’s Mission District on Sunday morning, police said today.
A 26-year-old man was walking near 19th and Harrison streets at 5:46 a.m. Sunday when two male suspects standing at the corner approached him, police said.
One of the suspects asked to borrow the victim’s phone. The victim kept walking but was then attacked by the suspects, police said.
During a struggle, one of the suspects took out a knife and sliced the victim, who suffered a severe laceration to his hand, according to police.
The suspects, described as a teen about 15 years old and a man about 30 years old, fled down 19th Street toward Folsom Street, police said.
The victim was treated at San Francisco General Hospital for his injury, which was not life-threatening, police said.
